Barasha Das, is an Independent Journalist from Assam, India.

Barasha specialises in story-telling about people and places ranging from humanitarian issues to the environment, history, and culture. Her present work area includes narratives about climate change- its impact and action, environmental degradation, and the documentation of indigenous knowledge systems.

She has been nominated for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) 2024. She will participate in a program titled “Call to Climate Action: Building Public Awareness through Media Advocacy” in the United States.

Additionally, she was a Fellow of the QoC-CANSA (Question of Cities-Climate Action Network South Asia) Fellowship on Cities and Climate Change in 2023.

Apart from her stint as a journalist, Barasha is associated as a Research Writer with OnePointFive, a platform dedicated to a Net-Zero Carbon Future.

She has a keen interest in heritage and has authored several columns on Guwahati.
